The Tyranny of Petty Things

I created the score and mixed this short documentary with director Cameron Nicoll. Cameron wanted a score that captured the feeling of flying as well as the nostalgia James felt for his early memories of being in an aeroplane. For this I used retro synths and ambient noise sound effects alongside floating airy melodies.

Synopsis:

James Bushe recently fought to overturn discriminatory rules and became the first commercial pilot with HIV. Using a flight simulator, we travel into James' memory to tell his story and explore his complex relationship with the cockpit.
